Annual Valentine Exchange
Share the love! In celebration of Valentine’s Day, we invite your children to participate in our 4th annual Valentine Exchange!
What is it?
This exchange is an opportunity for young children who have a parent with cancer to connect with each other by sending a handmade Valentine to another child of a similar age. We’ll send you and your kids everything they’ll need to complete a simple festive craft for their Valentine match.
How does it work?
The Valentine’s Day Exchange is suited for kids ages 2-10. Parents will sign-up their children to receive a package and peer match. All registered children will be mailed a package that contains craft supplies, instructions, and an envelope that is stamped and pre-addressed with their match. Kids will have about 10-14 days to work on their Valentine craft, and are welcome to personalize it a bit to match the interests of their match (there will be a spot on the sign-up form for parents to make a note of these).
Please refrain from sending food or gifts along with the Valentine craft–we want everyone’s special delivery to feel comparable.
What do I need to do?
Complete the sign-up form by Wednesday, January 14
Help children to work on their Valentine craft when their package is received (packages will be mailed Wednesday, January 21 and should arrive by Wednesday, January 28)
Mail your Valentine between Wednesday, February 4 and Friday, February 6 to ensure they are received by February 14. Carissa will send reminders so you don’t forget…we don’t want any kiddo to be left out.
